The APE TEAMS 2025!!
This is a chance for athletes of ALL LEVELS to team up and test their skills in three events, in a fun and welcoming environment that offers a chance to give it your all and leave it on the floor.
And… Did we mention?
We are giving away hundreds in CASH PRIZES!!

DIVISIONS
CHIMP DIVISION
For athletes who:
– Perform 60% of the movements scaled/modified. For example: they cannot efficiently perform a snatch, they do a muscle or power snatch instead.
-Who have been training for a year or less. Or who trains inconsistently. And are still learning the fundamental skills.
-Have minimal competition experience.
*WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RECOMMEND TEAMS DIVISIONS BASED ON EACH INDIVIDUAL’S SKILL SET.
GORILLA DIVISION
For athletes who:
– Perform movements efficiently 80% of the time. For example: they are able to receive the barbell in a squat position in the snatch(regardless of depth) with locked out elbows.
-Who have been training for more than a year. Or who trains consistently. They know and are able to apply the fundamental skills 80% of the time.
-Have experience competing.

WORKOUTS
EVENT 1. Push/Carry Relay
Teammate #1 pushes a weighted sled 10 meters to end line, where Teammate #2 picks up the Sandbag and walks it 10m to end line, where Teammate #3 walks the yoke 20m (10m there, 10m back), then the Sandbag and sled must be pushed/carried back to their starting point in sequence.
Total score: For Time (points by placement) Clock stops when Sled Passes end line.

Weight: Sled+165lb, SandBag 175lb, Yoke+180lb

Relay-style: One person MUST finish the event before, the next begins.
Relay Sequence: Sled push -> SandBag carry -> Yoke Run, Yoke Run back -> SandBag Carry -> Sled Push.

Rules
-Relay-style: One person MUST finish the event before, the next begins.
(front of sled must be at end line before the sandbag gets lifted of the ground. SandBag must touch the ground before yoke gets lifted)
-ALL teammates must participate.
-A minimum of 10m is required per athlete.
-Only one athlete is allowed to touch each item while in motion. For example: two athletes are NOT allowed to push the sled, carry sandbag, or carry the yoke together.
-Other teammates are NOT allowed to help athele make adjustments during their course.
-Teammates must wait at the end line for one another. No running next to teammates allowed.
EVENT 2. Synchro WOD
2 teammates perform deadlift together on the same bar, while the third teammate dead hangs. When the person hanging drops, all 3 teammates will perform 5 synchronized burpees ensuring chests hit the ground at the same time. This sequence continues for 8 minutes.

Rules
-Deadlift rep consists of lifting the barbell into a locked out knee position for both athletes. If one athlete has knees locked, but the other doesnt, it is a no rep.
-No half reps. If athlete hanging drops while the barbell is in motion but not at locked out postition, that is a no rep.
-Athlete hanging must not touch side bars of the cage at any time, and feet must not touch the ground. It is not a requirement for legs to remain extended.
-The moment the hanging athlete drops, the count of deadlifts stops.
-Burpee rep consisto of ALL teammates touching their chests hit the ground at the SAME TIME.
-Atheletes are allowed to change positions at any time

Rules
Chipper: Complete as a team. Teammates divide the work as needed.
-Cleans: Athlete MUST receive the bar at the LOWEST POINT of their squat. Barbell must touch the ground everytime. A rep consists of the bar touching the ground, receiving in a squat position, and recovering standing up withe knees locked up. When switching, barbell must be on the floor.
-Toes to Bar: BOTH feet must touch the bar everytime. No assisting straps allowed. Palm Grips acceptable.
-Hanging knee Tucks: Knees must come in contact with torso.
-Rope climb: ABSOLUTELY NO JUMPING. Athlete must start in standing position with both feet on the ground. Rep is counted when athlete touches the crossbar.
-Rope Get Ups: Athlete must keep the legs locked out at all times, from the ground to standing position.
-One movement must be completed in its entirety before moving to the next. For example: All 90 Calories must be completed before starting the cleans.
-All teammates compete on the same piece of equipment. For example: One team is not allowed to use two bikes.
-Teammates are not allowed to help athlete in motion make adjustments. For example if the barbell rolls away from athlete, other teammates are not allowed to push the barbell back to their partner
SCORING
Total score is the SUM all ALL 3 EVENTS.
All points from each event will be tallied and placements will be posted at completion of each event.
Upon finalization of all events by every team “Grand Champions” will be announced and awards will be given day of.
PRICING
GENERAL RULES
-All 3 teammates MUST participate in EVERY event.
-At least one female per team is required. Teams of 3 females is allowed.
-In the case of an injury there will be no substitutions, the remaining teammates must compete as a team.
-An individual athlete may compete in both divisions in different teams.
-ONLY ONE advanced/gorilla athlete is allowed in Chimp division.
-Chimp divisions must consist of AT LEAST TWO beginer/chimp athletes.
Ape’s Honesty Code:
At the APE we practice a set of rules that are based on our core values to be honest, fair and respectful to ourselves and one another. These rules are not required, but are followed by most membes and most who participate at our competitions. These rules include:
-Being honest about your skill level when signing up to a certain division. To not puposedly sign up to a lower skilled division in order to gain advantage over beginer athletes.
-To follow the rules to the best of your ability and be gracious in victory and accept defeat with dignity
-To treat everyone with respect, including coaches, officials, and opponents
Don’t engage in disrespectful conduct, such as profanity, taunting, or trash-talking
