*ONE CONTINUOUS VIDEOS for ALL 3 EVENTS must be submitted.

(Max Reps) Snatches & Sandbag Bearhug hold

One partner locked into a bearhug hold while the other chases max snatches.

Setup
• Teams of 2 athletes (same or mixed gender, SAME Division).
• One athlete holds a sandbag in a bearhug position.
• The other athlete performs snatches with a barbell.
• Once positions are chosen, no switching is allowed for the duration of the event.

Sandbag Bearhug Hold
• Sandbag must be held in front of the torso with both arms wrapped around.
• Bag must remain off the ground any contact with the ground (even resting) ends scoring.
• Athlete may adjust grip, and temporarily bend the knees to readjust but dropping or resting the bag on the legs terminates partner’s scoring.
• Athlete must hold bag in a UPRIGHT torso position. No bending back or excessive knee bend allowed.

Snatch
• Any form of snatch is allowed. Snatch, power snatch, or muscle snatch.
• Bar must start from the ground on each rep.
• Movement must be one continuous motion from ground to overhead.
• Arms must fully extend overhead, with control shown at the top.

Scoring
• Only reps performed while the sandbag is held count.
• The total score is the number of valid snatches completed before the sandbag is dropped

Penalties
• Any sandbag drop, or holding at the knees = immediate stop in scoring.
• Incomplete lockout over head = no rep.

(Max Reps) Synchronized Front Squats

Athletes must perform front squats in sync for reps to count.

*Athletes are not allowed to rest at the top or bottom positions for long periods of time (waiting periods of 10 seconds or more between reps stops event)

Setup
• Each athlete has their own barbell, loaded to the designated competition weight.

STANDARDS

Starting Position
• Barbell begins in the front rack position (across shoulders, elbows forward).
• Both athletes must start standing tall with hips and knees fully extended.

Squat
• Athletes descend together until hip crease is clearly below the top of the knee or in line with the knee.
Both athletes must reach depth at the same time (synchronization judged at bottom).
• Athletes must then stand back up together to full hip and knee extension.
Synchronization is also required at the top—both athletes locked out simultaneously.

Scoring
• Only reps where both athletes are synchronized at bottom and top positions will count.
• Reps are tallied until one or both athletes drops the bar.
• Score = total valid synchronized squats completed by the pair.

Penalties
• Failure of one athlete to reach depth = no rep for the team.
• Standing up at different times (out of sync) = no rep.
• Dropping the bar ends event

(For time) Rower Cal

Rowing
• Machine must be set to calories before start.
• Athlete must remain fully seated on the rower while pulling—no standing rows.
• Calories must reach or exceed the target before time stops.

Switching
• Athletes may switch as often as they wish.
• Switches may occur only after the handle is placed back into the cradle.
• Time continues to run during all transitions.

Scoring
• Time is stopped the moment the monitor shows the required calorie target has been met.
• Score = fastest completion time.
• If time cap is reached before the target is met, score = calories completed at cap.

Penalties
• Failure to place the handle in the cradle before switching = 5-second penalty added to final time.
• Athletes pulling while off the seat = no calories counted for that pull.
• False start (rowing before countdown) = restart or time penalty.
